http://twitterfeed.com I just started using this service a few days ago and am pretty happy with it so far. Do you hate to post to your wordpress blog and then write up something for Twitter linking to the blog and then going onto facebook to again post something that feed back to what you just wrote on your blog? Then you’ll love TwitterFeed because you set it and forget it as it feeds your blog out to both services for you. There are several options to choose from so currently I have it checking my blog every couple hours and I ask it to track the links for me on the dashboard. Very useful tool so far but I don’t see much in the way of other services but I’m sure they’ll com. I’m a big fan of anything that helps automate my message so this service is currently in my bag of tricks.

I still remember the day I watched this video and it made me laugh because I couldn’t believe it took over two minutes to explain the how but for the naysayers out there it had to be done, wow. It’s kinda like explaining how a spoon works. Funny thing though, today I was talking with a fellow co-worker who is extremely technical and savvy about the internet or so I thought but they poo-pooed twitter and talked about it like it was a fad … kinda like the telephone was (doh). Alan Petersen talked about adding eBay to your wordpress site and it never really dawned me that it could be this easy but once someone shows you, it’s a no brainer moment…Ugh, why didn’t I find this? I’m a programmer by trade so I remember thinking that it would be good to have this functionality so I’m always looking to build it but there’s just not enough time in the day if you’re trying to run an internet business to build all of these plugins so take the road of do what you’re good at and let others do what they’re good at. It’ll be a win-win for everyone and that’s what it’s all about. The beauty of this plugin is that you literally can set it and forget it, let me know what you think.

Take a look at the picture, Firefox has been turned off for the least 10 minutes but it’s still taking up memory and cpu. My cpu bounces all over the place but what the heck is going on here? Why after 10 minutes are you still in my task manager? I have a lot of windows open so yeah … I’m a bit of power user but should Firefox chew up my cpu and memory all the time? Absolutely NOT, please keep working on it because this browser is an absolute dream for every user who want to be a power user and it needs to move away from the 4-cylinder and move into that powerful v-12 engine.

I’ve read both Tim’s book and Gary’s book and they both have it right but they both talk about different messages. Gary Vaynerchuk talks about working hard, using software tools like twitter and facebook to engage with your community to share your passion in that community and be totally contributing. You become that guy in there so people know you and what you stand for and not only are you sharing but you’re LISTENING about what you don’t know and adjusting your beliefs accordingly. You can always learn something from someone but you gotta LISTEN. Become your passion and that will guide you. Tim Ferriss talks about working smart, using software tools to automate / manage your workload so you have more time for yourself to do the things you want to do, engaging more with your community, your family or friends … it doesn’t really matter because it’s up to you and that’s freedom and that’s why you use the tools in his book. Both views come down to one thing and that’s personal freedom. When you’re doing your passion nothing else matters, you feel like your could do that forever because you could think of nothing better. btw – think back to a time when you thought like that about something you did, that’s how you know you found that hidden passion. You will probably have several passions as we all do but think smartly about which one works best with your life today and roll with it, do what you can do to make it bigger. I may not always look the same but as long as you can see yourself moving up, you’ll get there. Don’t quit your day job if you’re 100k in debt just to raise an ant farm. That’s stupid but think about what step towards that ant farm can you do that moves you towards your love of the ant farm community? Go see someone who has one on the weekend, JFGI (just fxxxxx google it) and make some comments, be a commentator, get in there, it really doesn’t matter how …. get in there and start small. *** Here’s my struggle and I get to figure it out, there are too many things on my plate at once and I never finish (I’m the greatest idea guy I know and I can start projects on a dime but finishing is another story) I get to work on that !!! *** What’s your struggle? What’s your passion? What’s holding you back?

I spent Saturday at the first annual boost seminar put on by jeffmills.com. I found it on meetup.com and we were talking about the latest and greatest in internet technologies, geeking out as they say but it was a good seminar for anyone new to marketing their business online.

I picked up a lot of new websites to check out and I consider myself a pretty high level web geek but the old adage that you can always learn something new from everyone rang true. Great information and nice to meet more folks who are in my tech space, will probably see some of them at next Saturdays minnebar.org in the Best Buy headquarters, woot woot !!!

* The time was a quite long (9-630p) but I like to get to the point and move a bit faster then the rest as I also thought the breaks could’ve been shorter but the course can’t more at my speed I get it. Some people left after lunch which also means to me that a 90 minute is too long. All in all good info for noobs breaking into the internet marketing and learning how to market their business.
